Biography

Dr. Daniel Amoah is a compassionate, Board-Certified Family Medical Doctor in Bradenton, Florida. He also is a Certified Coach, Trainer and Speaker for John C. Maxwell, and a founding partner of The John Maxwell Team. Dr. Amoah received his medical training from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana, and had his residency training at Montgomery Family Medicine Residency Program in Norristown, Pa., an affiliate of Temple University.  He has been practicing family medicine in Bradenton for the past 10 years and is affiliated with both Blake Medical Center and Manatee Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Amoah believes we are here to serve each other and to serve humanity. That defines his mission with the Universal Wellness Group.

Dr. Amoah is a passionate student of self-development, positive change, leadership, philosophy and ancient wisdom.  He sees himself as an example of how gradual, positive changes can transform one’s life. He also believes that permanent changes occur faster when they start from within. Many people fail in their attempt to lose weight, exercise and reverse many of the diseases and medical conditions because they approach all these important changes from the perspective of “outside in” instead of “inside out.” One of Dr. Amoah’s favorite quotes is from C.G. Jung: “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”

His purpose is to inspire and equip others for a healthy and fulfilled life. His motto is to serve with compassion.  He believes strongly that many of the diseases and medical conditions affecting many people such as Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, obesity and stress can be reversed with changes in our habits in what we eat, how we exercise, and getting proper rest. As a coach, he also knows very well that most of us know how to achieve a healthier and more fulfilled life — but this does not necessarily mean that we will do them. In other words, knowing and doing are miles apart.
Rest assured, Dr. Amoah’s mission is to walk side by side with his clients, enabling them to make the necessary healthy changes they have always desired.

Dr. Amoah lives in Bradenton with his wife and three children. In his spare time, he likes reading and providing free medical care at We Care Manatee, a not-for-profit organization in Manatee County.
